March 2013. DTEC have completed the phase one build of their Competency and Safety Training Academy (CoaST Academy). The Academy boasts one of the most advanced Confined Space training facilities in the country. The unit has over 30 metres of different diameter enclosed pipe runs coupled by three multi level chambers and height access points. This, coupled with a mock refinery column makes training at the facility not only comprehensive but also, an interesting and enjoyable experience. The Academy will ultimately sell training courses to external bodies but in the first instance, is being used to train both DTEC and Engenda Group workers.
September 2012. DTEC are proud to announce that the company has moved to a new premises at the Hixon Airfield Industrial Estate at Hixon in Staffordshire. The move will facilitate DTEC with much needed additional office space to house new incoming operational personnel and will enable ambitious plans for the construction of a new confined space and height training facility. Managing Director, Steve Colclough, quotes “We had outgrown the old premises some time ago and the group owners, Engenda, were keen to have us relocated to something more modern and in fitting with our growth plans. In the coming months we will be building a new training facility to compliment our Column Rescue company and to enable us to provide personnel training for companies across the Engenda Group”.
